Continental Disc Corporation Announces SANITRX HPX II Rupture Disc And HPX Double Disc Holder by CDC CONTINENTAL DISC CORPORATION
Continental Disc Corporation announces the launch of its newest products which enhance their industry-leading HPX® rupture disc product line: the SANITRX HPX® II Rupture Disc and the HPX® Double Disc Holder.
The SANITRX HPX® II Rupture Disc is a semicircular, scored, reverse acting rupture disc designed specifically for applications in the pharmaceutical, food & beverage and biotech industries that require pressures above our SANITRX HPX® Rupture Disc. Available in sizes 1 ½” to 4,” this rupture disc is available to fit between standard sanitary ferrules, NA CONNECT® flanges or SANITRX® fittings. SANITRX HPX® II rupture discs are shipped in sanitary, environmentally friendly, non-toxic packaging.
Common applications for the new SANITRX HPX® II Rupture Disc product include: filters, autoclaves, bioreactors, process vessels, heat exchangers, storage & transport vessels, fermenters, clean steam piping, WFI vessels & piping, CIP & SIP skids and piping, lyophilizers (freeze drying), and mixing, drying, granulating equipment.
Features of the new SANITRX HPX® II Rupture Disc include extreme cycling durability, choice of 90% or 95% maximum recommended operating ratio, and precision scoring on the vent side of the rupture disc dome, which assures optimum cleanability and improves rupture disc performance.
The HPX® Double Disc Holder consists of three holder components: an inlet, a mid-flange and an outlet piece, in order to accommodate two HPX® Rupture Discs. The first of the two HPX® Rupture Discs is located between the inlet and the mid-flange, and the second HPX® Rupture Disc is between the mid-flange and outlet. This assembly arrangement of holder components and rupture discs provides the solution to multiple applications without the need of a more complicated piping arrangement.
Common uses of the HPX® Double Disc assembly are for rupture disc leak detection, as an actuated rapid opening device and for the elimination of back pressure.
